市场监管总局批准发布一批重要国家标准
Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation (the National Standardization Administration) approved the release of 298 important national standards. Among them are 27 mandatory national standards and 271 recommended national standards, covering fields including high and new technology, traditional industries, production safety, and agriculture.

The mechanism
China’s standardisation authority has released 298 national standards, including 27 mandatory ones, across AI, semiconductors, photovoltaic glass and ship equipment. European suppliers selling into these Chinese segments may now face product redesign, testing or documentation costs where the new specifications diverge from their existing certifications. The immediate constraint is limited by the notice: it does not identify which individual standards are mandatory, their entry dates, or whether they track international norms.
The stakes
If China couples these technical specifications to procurement, certification or market access, standards become a durable lever for favouring domestic industrial ecosystems in strategic sectors. The effect is far smaller if the texts largely adopt international specifications and remain voluntary in commercial practice.
How it reaches Europe
- China releases 298 standardsSAMR approved 27 mandatory and 271 recommended national standards.
- Technical requirements become reference pointsThe release covers specified products and industrial applications, including AI and semiconductor devices.
- Suppliers assess product conformitySelling into covered Chinese segments may require alignment where buyers, certifiers or rules apply the standards.
- EU exporters face adaptation costsEuropean AI, semiconductor, materials and marine-equipment suppliers compete in the covered product categories.
