Since the beginning of this year, the State Administration for Market Regulation (National Standardization Administration) has released more than 2,800 national standards, of which more than 1,400 are national standards for emerging industries, powerfully supporting the vigorous development of new quality productive forces.

The mechanism
China has issued more than 1,400 emerging-industry national standards, including strict EV and traction-battery safety specifications. European vehicle, battery, AI-terminal and advanced-materials suppliers selling into China may need to compare product designs, test evidence and technical documentation against a larger Chinese rulebook. The immediate burden depends on whether the individual standards become compulsory or are demanded by Chinese buyers and authorities; the publication does not establish that point.
